Love Note

An excerpt from Chapter 4 of Unleash your love...

I was talking to Jesus asking Him to give me what to write in this book. After all, I don’t fully understand His love either. I believe He gave me this love letter for you…

My beloved,

I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb. I know more about you than you do about yourself. I created you. I breathed life into you. You are my perfect creation. Every intricate detail was created as an expression of my love for you. From the moment I created the Heavens and the Earth, When I created the sky, when I told the waters where to stop, when I created land, vegetation, animals, the Sun, the Moon, the Stars (and where they should be and go), sea creatures, I was thinking of you. 

Every single day in Genesis 1, was all for you. All for your survival, your living, your health, your pleasure, all to bring us closer together. All to create an unbreakable connection between us. All to walk with you daily. I created a day of rest for you to regenerate your strength, pause and give thanks for all you have, and spend time with me. I gave you dominion over my creation so you can be a reflection of my love in the world. 

My love for you is so strong, so powerful, that I used my own breath to breathe life into you. Every breath you inhale, every beat of your heart, it is my life, my blood flowing through you. Everything you see from the mountains to the oceans, to the sun, the moon, the stars, the trees, the grass, the rain, EVERYTHING was created for you. My love for you is so great that I made sure every intricate detail is perfect, just for you. 

Every mistake you make, my love for you never changes. Every time you felt like you were alone, I was there, whispering your name. I was embracing you. The Holy Spirit engulfed you. Every time you think no one knows you, I see you. Every time you felt anxious, pain, hurt, alone, afraid, angry, whatever feeling, I was there for you. Waiting for you to respond to me. Respond to me whispering your name. Telling you I am here for you and ready to help you, support you, and do what is best for you. My love for you will always be available to you. It never wanes. It never falters. It never changes. It is always there and will always be there. 

It is my nature to love. My desire is to love you, not harm you. My love for you is extravagant. My love for you is immense. My love for you is beyond your understanding, your comprehension, and the words in your language. My love has always and will always pursue you. I aggressively pursue you. There is nothing you can do to extinguish my love for you. There is nothing you could do to stop or change my love for you. I was sent so that you see just how much God loves you!

You are my beloved. My love is intoxicated with you. I am intoxicated with you. My passion burns for you.  My desire for you is to prosper. To succeed. To live. I only want good for you. I am as close to you as your next breath. When you inhale, you inhale my oxygen. When you exhale, that is a picture of my power and authority coming out of you. When you open your mouth to speak, I will give you the words to say and even the ability to express them. 

Every time you look at the sky, it is a canvas for me to express my love for you. Every time you look at it, it is a beautiful portrayal of my affection and devotion to you. When thunder rolls across the sky, it is an example of the beat of my heart for you. When lightning lights up the sky, it is a reflection of the joy I feel seeing and hearing your desire for me. When the sun rises each day, it is a reflection of my promise to always be with you. When the moon is up, it is a reflection of the promise that I will always protect you, my beloved. That I will always do what is best for you, my love. 

I came down off my throne and came to Earth that you may see the glory of God. That you can see my love for you. Each and every time you came to me while I was on Earth, my love and compassion for you were shown. When I healed a person, it was a reflection of my love for you. When I delivered a person, it was a reflection of my love for you. When I raised a person from the dead, it was a reflection of my love for you. When someone cried out for me to have mercy, mercy, and love met them and was an example of my love for you. When I taught among tens of thousands, it was an expression of my love for you. 

When I gave power and authority to my disciples, it was an expression of my love for you. When I was spat on, punched, slapped, mocked, all of it, I took, and was an expression of my love for you. When I was beaten mercilessly, each and every strike, every time the metal shards dug into my flesh, it was an expression of my love for you. When I carried that cross, every step, every foot, every yard, was an expression of my love for you. When they drove the nails into my hands and feet, it was an expression of my love for you. I stayed on the cross for six hours. Every second, every minute, every hour, was an expression of my love for you. The entire time I was on the cross, my love for you was flowing out of me. 

When I cried out to my Father, “Forgive them, for they know not what they do,” it was an expression of my love for you. When it was finished, all of that was an expression of my love for you.  In fact, it was the depth of my love for you that carried me through it all.   When I took the keys to Hell back, it was an expression of my love for you. When I rose again after three days as promised, it was an expression of my love for you. When I sent you the Holy Spirit, it was an expression of my love for you.

Everything I have ever done, am doing now, or will ever do, is a reflection of my love for you. My desire is to have an unshakeable bond with you. To be so close to each other we move in tandem each and every day, as one. I want to walk in the cool of the day with you. My every thought is on you and I want yours to be on me. I want my glory to shine through you to all the Earth. I want my presence to overflow in you so that all may see my love for you and them, in you. 

I love you. Always have and always will. Every time I whisper your name, I am calling you to be near me, to trust me, to love me as I love you. Draw close to me and I will show you the true meaning of love. A love that no words on Earth can fully describe. Every breath you take, I am pursuing you. Calling your name. Desiring you. Come, experience my love and you will be ruined for any other. 

This is what I think God is trying to say to us and teach us, only if we would learn and accept it. Too many preachers, too many teachers, and too many other speakers have failed to teach this in its fullness. Their teachings, in my opinion, are incomplete. They stop short of teaching because they either don’t understand it themselves, their understanding is not complete, or their fear overtakes their teachings. They are fearful that if we understood in more significant measure His love for us, we would become self-centered, and that may not be too far from the truth the way it is being taught currently. 

However, His love is not just for us! We should desire to understand His love, how much He loves us, and most importantly WHAT to do with that love. If we could open ourselves up to His teaching of His love, allow His love to overwhelm us, and fill us completely, we, as Christians, would never be the same. As we are taught His way of love, His depth of love, and His ways of love, our work would never be the same. Our marriage would never be the same. Our children would never be the same. Our worship would never be the same!

When we have His depth of love, His level of love, everything we do at work will be done for Him. We will give Him the glory for every accomplishment. Our interactions with co-workers will be different. Our end goal for working would be different. No longer would it be a selfish goal. 

When we have His depth of love, His level of love, our marriages would be stronger than ever before. Once Jesus is at the center, He is the focus, and His love is flowing in you and out of you, you will be closer to your mate than ever before.
