The heart behind Blessings In Disguise, LLC is this: to create a safe and secure way in which to share a truly anonymous gift of money to help a person or people that you already know -- not random strangers or charities.
Simply put, our goal is to follow the heart that we have been given, which is to help others.​Here is a little of our story. We are a pretty normal, proud-to-be-Christian couple that lives in middle Tennessee. Being a veteran, I received an unexpected blessing of my own in the form of a back-paid disability check. My wife and I had a few ideas for what to do with the money. One idea was to help a neighbor with some home repairs, and another idea was to help a friend further away. We don’t like the idea of being known as a goody-goody or making someone feel like they are receiving “pity” money. Additionally, and more importantly, we don’t want to make anyone feel like they owe us anything. After spending quite a bit of time researching it, we could not find any way to give a monetary gift securely, easily, and truly anonymously (all the other donation and crowd funding platforms that we have researched offer a way for the recipient to find out where the "gift" came from). Therefore, we came up with the idea this site presents. We very much hope that this helps everyone involved, both the giver and the recipient of the gift. - Joel & Leslie
Detailed How To Guide:
1. Fill in your FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, and EMAIL address (your phone number is optional). None of your information will EVER be shared with anyone!
2. Fill in the person’s FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, and ADDRESS that you wish to send money to. If they live in the USA, there is no need to add anything to the COUNTRY field.
3. Select the amount of money that you wish to give to this person. (The credit card processing portal (upon checkout) collects 2.9% plus $0.30. For example, if you select “$100 Gift ($105 after fees)-$105”, you will be charged $105. $100 will go to the person you have chosen to give to, $3.35 is collected by the credit card processing portal, and $1.66 is collected by Blessings In Disguise, LLC. Another example, if you select “$19,000 Gift ($19,590 after fees)-$19590”, you will be charged $19,590. $19,000 will go to the person you have chosen to give to, $568.41 is collected by the credit card processing portal, and $21.59 is collected by Blessings In Disguise, LLC.) 4. It is optional; However, we encourage you to write a note to the person that you are giving to. Please keep this anonymous, but feel free to write as much as you like.
5. Click to agree to the terms & conditions, and then select the “Submit Gift” button.
6. After this you will be brought to a page that will let you choose between using a credit card or Paypal.
